Robbie lived the proverbial boyhood dream, growing up in Newcastle Upon Tyne before going on to play for his hometown team, where he stayed for more than 10 years across two spells with the club.

An in-demand pro, he played for several other premier league clubs before crossing the Atlantic to live in North America, where he worked for the USA national football team, before joining the ranks at Nike.
